Kym + Eva | Newport Beach Wedding

A few months back, I had the opportunity to 2nd shoot with Kim from Kim Le Photography for the first time and was it a such great experience!

The wedding started at the Hyatt Hotel in Newport, followed by a Catholic ceremony on Balboa Island and ended with a beautiful reception at a near by yacht club. I had a great time getting to know the happy couple throughout the day and couldn't believe how relaxed Kym and Eva were! Their care free, easy going attitude really shows in the pictures and it made the day even more beautiful!

Just to give you an idea of how worry free they were, most brides stress over things like flower arrangements and what shoes to wear. Imagine if your fiance broke his collar bone just a week before the wedding. That's what happened to Kym, but the two of them didn't let that dampen their day as they were full of laughter and smiles as they celebrated their big day!

Happy Anniversary

A year ago today, I married my best friend and I can't believe how fast the time has gone by. Our first year of marriage has been amazing and I can't wait to make many more memories together. I love him even more today than the day we got married and I'm so blessed to have him in my life!

Happy 1 anniversary Babe! I love you to the moon and back!

Happy birthday Quyen!

Last year, I realized that I was quickly approaching the last year in my twenties and I thought to myself that I wanted to do something special. Well as I thought about it, I realized that a number of my dearest girlfriends are also getting ready to say good-bye to their twenties so I came up with a little idea to photograph them on their last year in their twenties. I thought it would be a great way to celebrate our friendship, their dreams and what they thought their twenties were. It's definitely awesome to see your friends grow and change as the years past and I feel very lucky to have been able to experience that with them. So you will see a series of beautiful ladies through out this year that have been my long time friends (and sisters)!

So the first one to start off this series is Quyen, but to most of the world she is known as Karen. I still remember the first time I met Quyen back in 4th grade at Hill Elementary (go Hounds!), she was the new girl and was probably the smallest person in the class but carried the world's biggest backpack. Haha. I still remember coming up to her and asking if she wanted to play Chinese jump-rope with some of my friends and me. As simple as it might sound, that is where our friendship began! After over 19 years of friendship, I have seen Quyen grow into the beautiful, ambitious and loving woman that she is today.

Happy birthday Quyen! I wish this year is the best one yet and that when you see these images, remember how beautiful and special your twenties have been. Thank you for being a truly amazing friend to me through thick and thin. I love you and I'll see you tonight at your birthday celebration! Cheers to being 29, loving every moment of it, and, of course, growing old together!
